BONUS: Disney Just Dropped a Ton of Spring 2027 News — Here's What You Need to Know 🤍

Okay friends, drop what you're doing — Disney just had a big news day Thursday, and if you've been sitting on a "someday we'll do a Disney trip," today is the day that someday starts looking a lot more real. In the span of 24 hours, Disney released new room discounts for Spring 2027, confirmed dates for both EPCOT festivals, and dropped the full 2027 Disney After Hours calendar.

Here's the thing about these Disney announcements: they show up, they don't come with a warning before the good rooms or the best event nights disappear, and everything below lines up perfectly if you're thinking about a spring trip. So let's get into exactly what's being offered right now, because I already have families reaching out about this one.

The Deal, Broken Down by Resort Tier

This new offer covers select nights from January 3 through April 29, 2027, with better savings the closer you get to spring:

Deluxe Resorts & Deluxe Villas (think Grand Floridian, Contemporary, BoardWalk, Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club)

  • Up to 25% off for stays February 28 – April 29, 2027

  • Up to 20% off Sunday–Thursday nights, January 3 – February 25, 2027

Moderate Resorts

  • Up to 20% off for stays February 28 – April 29, 2027

  • Up to 15% off Sunday–Thursday nights, January 3 – February 25, 2027

Value Resorts

  • Up to 15% off for stays February 28 – April 29, 2027

  • Up to 10% off Sunday–Thursday nights, January 3 – February 25, 2027

That later window (late February through April) is where the biggest savings live — which happens to line up with some genuinely gorgeous weather at Disney World, before the full heat of summer rolls in. If you've got any flexibility, that's the sweet spot.

What's Not Included

A few room categories are sitting this one out: 3-Bedroom Villas, the Cabins at Copper Creek, and the Bungalows/Villas/Penthouses at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are all excluded. Fort Wilderness Campsites are also excluded for the January/February dates specifically.

EPCOT Festival of the Arts Is Back: January 15 – March 1, 2027

If art, Broadway, and a little friendly competition over who can spot the best character topiary along World Showcase is your thing, mark your calendar. The 2027 Festival of the Arts runs a full week longer than this year's, and it's bringing back the Disney on Broadway Concert Series at America Gardens Theatre, daily live art demonstrations (watching an artist paint a Disney character in minutes never gets old), acrobatic performances, and a Disney Lorcana trading card activity for the collectors in your house. Food studio menus haven't dropped yet, but they're always one of my favorite parts of this festival. I am so excited to finally swing through this festival this year for the first time ever!!

EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival Returns: March 10 – May 31, 2027

Right on the heels of Festival of the Arts, Flower & Garden takes over EPCOT for about 82 days. The character topiaries and garden displays are confirmed to return (designs TBA), along with the Garden Rocks concert series and the Outdoor Kitchens serving up all those garden-inspired bites that make this festival dangerous for my wallet every single year. If your trip lands anywhere between mid-March and the end of May, you'll get to walk through it. It’s truly so beautiful!

Disney After Hours Dates Are Here Too

For anyone who wants the parks with a fraction of the crowds, the full 2027 Disney After Hours calendar just dropped for three parks:

  • Magic Kingdom — dates running January through July 2027, 7pm early entry with the event itself from 10pm–1am, tickets $189–$209

  • Disney's Hollywood Studios — dates running January through August 2027, 7pm early entry with the event from 9:30pm–12:30am, tickets $159–$199

  • EPCOT — dates running January through August 2027, 7pm early entry with the event from 9:30pm–12:30am, tickets $159–$189

Annual Passholders and DVC Members save $30 per ticket at the Hollywood Studios and EPCOT events (Magic Kingdom isn't offering that discount). These nights are one of my favorite "worth the money" splurges because you're genuinely riding things back-to-back with barely any wait.

Why I Wouldn't Wait on This One

Disney has a pattern with these room discounts — they tend to disappear around the holidays with little to no notice, and the popular resorts (I'm looking at you, Grand Floridian and the Values, always the first to sell out) get locked up fast once word gets around. Layer in that After Hours tickets and festival dining packages also sell out closer to the date, and a spring trip suddenly has a lot of moving pieces worth locking in early. If a Spring 2027 trip has even crossed your mind, this is the moment to actually look at real numbers instead of just dreaming about it.

I'm already pulling quotes for a few families on this one, and every single one of them said the same thing: they wish they'd asked sooner instead of waiting to see if "a better deal" might come along. This is a good deal, right now, today.

How to Lock In Your Discount

I'll handle the whole thing for you — for free. I'll watch for any additional perks that get released for these dates, build your trip around the festivals or After Hours nights that make sense for your family, apply whatever gets you the lowest total cost, and handle all the details so you're not the one on hold with Disney reservations.

Head over to thatkatiefath.com/travel and fill out the quick inquiry form, and let's get your Spring 2027 trip priced out before these rooms disappear.

Someday isn't a plan. Today is. 🤍

xoxo,
Katie
