Have you heard?! The live action Moana hits theaters July 10th and we are SO ready. 🌊

If your house is anything like mine, the excitement is already at an all-time high and we needed to celebrate. So we did what any Disney family does — we made a whole night out of it.

There's something so magical about turning a regular movie night into a full experience, and with Moana having her big live action moment this summer, there is no better time to lean all the way in. Whether you're hyping up the kids before the movie release, celebrating after you see it in theaters, or just looking for a special mommy-daughter night in, this Moana movie night package has everything you need.

🌿 The Menu

Starter: Grandma Tala's Island Greens

Main Dish: Hei Hei Kabobs + Pua's Rice

Easy, kid-friendly, and totally on theme. The kabobs are a crowd pleaser every single time.

Drink: Ocean Water Punch

Fair warning — this one is a splurge on the dye front, but it's worth it for the wow factor when the kids see that blue punch hit the table.

Dessert: Heart of Te Fiti Cookies

We try to keep dye to a minimum in our house, so since the punch was already pushing it, we used dye-free food coloring for these — and they turned out beautiful. No sugar crystals needed when the color does the work!

🎨 The Craft: Disney Pour N' Paint Moana

After dinner, we set up the Disney Pour N' Paint Moana kit from Target — and Lennon absolutely loved it. You mix the plaster, pour it into the mold, let it dry, and then paint your own Moana figure using the included paints. It kept her busy and made the night feel even more special. At only $3, it's one of the best little finds at Target right now. Grab it while it's in stock!

✨ Bringing the Magic Home

One of my favorite things about Disney is that the magic doesn't have to stop when you leave the parks — or even require a trip at all. Life is busy, budgets are real, and sometimes you just can't hop on a plane and fly to Walt Disney World. But that doesn't mean your family can't experience the wonder. Movie nights like this one are how we keep the Disney spirit alive in our everyday life — the themed food, the special touches, the memories we're making right here at home. Because at the end of the day, the magic was never really about the location. It was always about the feeling.

🎬 Make It a Full Experience

Queue up Moana on Disney+, print out your menu and movie tickets, set the table with a tropical theme, and let the magic happen. These are the nights they'll remember — and honestly, so will you.

xoxo,
Katie
