Talk to Me Thursday: I Was Nominated for a Super Mom Contest — And Here's the Full Story

Okay, I'm going to be real with you for a second.

I share things every single day — Disney tips, travel deals, behind-the-scenes of life as a working mom. But talking about myself? Asking for something for ME? That is so far outside my comfort zone it's not even funny.

But here we are. Because something happened that I can't just scroll past.

Someone Nominated Me for a Super Mom Contest

I didn't put my name in. I didn't campaign for it. Someone in my corner saw something in me and took the time to nominate me — and honestly, just being seen like that stopped me in my tracks.

The contest is called the Super Mom contest, and it's more than just a title. It's a vehicle to raise money and awareness for Children's Miracle Network — an organization that supports kids and families facing some of the hardest moments of their lives. That's what makes this so much bigger than me winning anything.

A Little About Why This Means So Much

People ask me all the time why I work so hard. Why I hustle the way I do. Why I'm always going, always building, always pushing.

The answer is simple: to give my daughter Lennon the life I never had.

Being a working mom is tough. There are days I'm stretched thin and running on fumes. But I wouldn't have it any other way — because every late night and early morning is for her. She is my whole reason.

So when someone looks at that and says "you're a Super Mom" — I don't take that lightly. Not even a little bit.

Here's How the Contest Works

We are currently in Round 1 of public voting, and I need to make the top 20 to advance. Every single vote matters right now.

Here's the thing that makes this really special: this isn't just about me. Every paid vote goes directly to Children's Miracle Network. So whether you vote for me or not, if you're moved to give even a dollar, it goes to a kid who needs it. That's the kind of contest I can feel good about being part of.

Round 1 voting closes April 23rd. Here's how you can help:

🗳️ Free vote — you can vote once per day at no cost at all. It takes 30 seconds.

💛 Paid vote — every dollar goes 100% to Children's Miracle Network. Not to me, not to the contest — to kids.

📲 Share this post — honestly, this one costs you nothing and means more than you know. The more people who see this, the more votes for CMN kids.

Thank You for Being Here

I wouldn't ask if it didn't matter. And this? This matters.

Not because I need a trophy — but because the kids supported by Children's Miracle Network need champions. And if my little corner of the internet can move the needle even a little for them, then every awkward "please vote for me" moment is worth it.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. 🙏

Voting closes April 23rd. Free votes reset daily — bookmark this page and come back tomorrow!

xoxo,
Katie
