Talk to Me Thursday: Halfway to Retreat

Today marks six months until Travelmation's annual conference at Walt Disney World — and after 4.5 years in this business, I am finally getting to go.

I have to be honest, I'm feeling all the feelings about this one.

In six months, I'll be stepping way outside my comfort zone. I'm rooming with ladies I've never actually met in person. I'll be surrounded by over a thousand other travel agents, all there to learn, grow, and get better at what we do. It's the kind of thing that sounds exciting and slightly terrifying at the same time, if I'm being fully honest with you.

But here's the thing — this industry moves fast, and it changes constantly. The best way I can keep showing up for my clients and getting you the best possible trip is by continuing to learn from people who are doing this at the highest level. Retreat is exactly that. A week of training, connection, and getting better at my craft, all so I can bring more back to you.

And can we talk about the opening ceremony for a second? Keala Settle — yes, THE Keala Settle from The Greatest Showman — is performing live for us. If you know that voice, you know exactly why I'm already emotional about it and it's still six months away.

So consider this your official countdown. Six months from today, I'll be at Walt Disney World, learning everything I can, meeting people who love this industry as much as I do, and coming home even more equipped to help plan your next magical vacation.
