Star Wars Day at Disney's Hollywood Studios is genuinely one of those bucket list park days, and this year Disney is going all out. From exclusive food and drinks to limited-edition merchandise to the most immersive Star Wars land on the planet — and even options if you're skipping the park altogether — here is everything you need to know before you go.
Why Hollywood Studios Is THE Place to Be on May the 4th
There's a reason Star Wars fans flock to Disney's Hollywood Studios every single May 4th — and it's not just because of the date. Hollywood Studios is home to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, a fully immersive 14-acre land built to make you feel like you have literally stepped onto the planet Batuu. This is not a Star Wars-themed section of a park. This is a world. The buildings, the language, the food, the characters, the sounds — every single detail is designed to pull you completely out of the real world and into the galaxy far, far away.
On a regular park day, Galaxy's Edge is incredible. On May the 4th? The energy is electric. You're surrounded by fellow fans in full cosplay, the cast members are fully in character, and the whole land feels even more alive than usual. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge — What's There All Year (and Why It Hits Different Today)
Before we get into the May 4th exclusives, let's talk about what makes Galaxy's Edge so special year-round — because if this is your first time, you're in for something unforgettable.
Rise of the Resistance is widely considered one of the greatest theme park attractions ever built. It's a massive, multi-room experience that puts you in the middle of a battle between the Resistance and the First Order. The scale of it will absolutely take your breath away — plan to ride it first thing in the morning or grab a Lightning Lane.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run lets you actually pilot the Millennium Falcon. Yes, that Millennium Falcon. You and your crew each have a role — pilot, gunner, or engineer — and the outcome of your mission depends on how well you work together. It is so fun.
Savi's Workshop is where you build your own custom lightsaber by hand. This is a ticketed experience ($300 per person) with limited slots, so reservations are essential — but if you or someone in your family is a true Star Wars fan, it is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of moment. Book this one as far in advance as possible.
Droid Depot lets you build your own astromech droid — R2 or BB units — to take home. Also ticketed and reservation-based. Kids (and adults) absolutely love it.
All of this is happening in a land that looks and sounds and feels like nothing else on earth. On May 4th, it is even more magical.
The May the 4th Exclusive Food & Drinks — 2026 Guide
This is where it gets really fun. Disney goes all out with Star Wars Day food and beverages, and most of the special items run May 1 through May 31 — so you have the whole month, not just one day. Here's what's confirmed for 2026:
The Big New One: Pink Milk at the Milk Stand
For the first time ever at Walt Disney World, Pink Milk has arrived alongside the beloved Blue Milk. It's a plant-based rice milk blend described as sweet and fruity — available non-alcoholic or as the Pink Milk Cooler with Bacardi Superior Rum. If you've ever had Blue Milk at Galaxy's Edge, you know how fun and unique it is. Pink Milk is brand new this year and will be one of the most photographed items in the park all month.
Oga's Cantina Exclusives (Reservation Required — More on That Below)
The headline drink at Oga's Cantina this year is the Kamino Cooler — served in the brand new DJ R-3X Souvenir Mug, a half-circle ceramic inspired by the resident droid DJ. The drink itself is Tito's Vodka, Bols Blue Curaçao, passion fruit syrup, Dole Pineapple Juice, and lime. That mug alone is going to be a collector's item.
Two new non-alcoholic drinks are also landing at Oga's on May 4th: the Roaring Loth-Cat (apple juice, lemon, cinnamon, and ginger ale) and Three Suns Over Batuu (a lemonade base with hot honey, pineapple, mango, guava, and ginger). Both sound incredible.
The Lightsaber Swizzle Drinks — Available Throughout the Park
New for 2026 and available May 4 through May 31 at multiple locations including ABC Commissary, Backlot Express, Rosie's All-American Cafe, and Hollywood Hills Amphitheater near Fantasmic:
The Chosen One Cooler — a crisp Granny Smith apple and white cranberry blend served with a rechargeable Luke Skywalker green lightsaber swizzle stick. Also available with Absolut Citron Vodka.
The Sith Lord Libation — blood orange with white cranberry and lime, served with a rechargeable Darth Vader red lightsaber swizzle stick. Also available with Absolut Citron Vodka.
Both have a two-per-person limit and honestly... I need both swizzle sticks in my life.
Sweet Treats Worth Hunting Down
Bright Suns Chocolate Mousse: Milk chocolate mousse with lemon curd, tangerine, and brown butter cake. (New this year!)
Across the Stars Ganache Bars: Ganache bars inspired by Star Wars planets — Kashyyyk (corn and nuts), Tatooine (dragon fruit), Mustafar (spicy cherry), and Hoth (mint-lime). (New!)
Kerkoiden Blue Cake: Spiced vanilla shortbread cookie with ginger cream cheese icing. (New!)
Millennium Falcon Chocolate Pop: Solid milk chocolate pop with crispy pearls — available starting May 4 with a limit of two per person.
Your Chosen Path Cupcake: A cookies-and-cream cupcake with marshmallow buttercream and a white chocolate X-Wing on top — with a secret lightsaber color revealed when you cut or bite into it. (Available at Backlot Express — this one is so fun for the kids!)
Batuu Bites: Blue corn, barbecue, and curry spice chips with lotus root, green bean chips, and herb dip. A solid savory snack option for when you need a break from the sweet stuff.
Dining at Galaxy's Edge — Make Your Reservations Now
If you haven't already made dining reservations for Monday, do it today. These spots fill up fast on May the 4th.
Oga's Cantina is the most reservation-dependent spot in all of Galaxy's Edge. It's a bar experience but reservations are strongly encouraged — and on May 4th especially, walk-up availability will be nearly impossible. Reservations open 60 days in advance through the My Disney Experience app. If you're reading this and going Monday, check the app right now for any remaining slots, and try walk-up during the last hour the park is open if you can't get one. Time inside is limited to about 45 minutes, there are a max of two drinks per person, and seating is mostly standing room — but the experience and the atmosphere are completely worth it. This is THE spot on May the 4th.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is the table-service restaurant inside Galaxy's Edge, built inside a working hangar bay. The menu is genuinely creative — not just themed food, but actually good food. This is your full sit-down meal option inside Batuu and a great way to rest your feet mid-day.
Ronto Roasters is a quick-service spot serving wraps cooked on a rotisserie spit that's "powered" by a pod-racing engine. The Ronto Wrap is one of the most popular quick-service items in all of Hollywood Studios and it absolutely delivers.
The Milk Stand is your stop for both Blue Milk and the brand new Pink Milk this year. A perfect mid-afternoon pick-me-up — and a great photo moment.
The Exclusive Merch — And What You Need to Know About the Virtual Queue
Here's what I really need you to read before Monday: if you are going to Hollywood Studios for the May the 4th merchandise event, Disney is using a virtual queue through the My Disney Experience app. This is not optional — it is required to access the exclusive merchandise.
The Hollywood Studios virtual queue opens at 7:00 AM ET on May 4th. You need to have your My Disney Experience app ready and be logged in before 7 AM. The queue can fill up fast, so being ready right at launch is key.
You also need valid park admission and a theme park reservation for Hollywood Studios that day. Without both, you cannot join the virtual queue at the park.
Once inside the shopping experience, Disney is offering merchandise mobile checkout — you can scan items as you shop and pay right on your phone through the app, which makes the process much smoother.
This year's 2026 May the 4th Logo Collection features The Mandalorian, Grogu, Ahsoka Tano, and Boba Fett throughout the collection — on tees, hats, tote bags, a MagicBand+, collectibles, and more. Limited quantities, no guarantees. Show up ready.

No park ticket? No problem. Disney Springs is joining the Star Wars Day celebration this year and the best part is that Disney Springs is always free to enter. No admission, no reservation required to get in — just show up and join the fun.
The Merchandise Virtual Queue at Disney Springs
Disney Springs is hosting its own May the 4th merchandise event with a virtual queue through the My Disney Experience app. The Disney Springs queue opens at 9:00 AM ET on May 4th — two hours after the Hollywood Studios queue — so if you missed the 7 AM window, you still have a shot here. No park ticket required to join the Disney Springs queue, just the app. Same rules apply: limited availability, first come first served, and the queue can fill up fast. Have your app ready and logged in before 9 AM.

At Amorette's Patisserie: The Bright Suns Chocolate Mousse — milk chocolate mousse with lemon curd, tangerine, and brown butter cake. New for 2026, and Amorette's never misses when it comes to beautifully crafted desserts. This one is going to be stunning.
At The Ganachery: The Across the Stars Ganache Bars — four flavors inspired by Star Wars planets. Corn and nuts for Kashyyyk, dragon fruit for Tatooine, spicy cherry for Mustafar, and mint-lime for Hoth. All new this year, and an absolute must if you love chocolate. If you want to grab a piece of the 2026 May the 4th Logo Collection without navigating the Hollywood Studios queue, Disney Springs is a great option.
Make a Day of It
Disney Springs is genuinely a wonderful way to spend May the 4th even without a park ticket. Grab your Ganache Bars and Chocolate Mousse, join the merchandise queue, browse World of Disney in your best Star Wars outfit, grab a meal at one of the many restaurants, and soak up the fan energy all around you. The atmosphere on May 4th even at Disney Springs has a different electricity to it — everyone is celebrating the same thing and that shared fandom is half the fun.

Tips for Making the Most of May the 4th
Get there early. Like, rope-drop early. Rise of the Resistance and the merchandise virtual queue are both first-come situations and the park will be busy.
Have the My Disney Experience app open and ready at 7:00 AM for the Hollywood Studios virtual queue — or 9:00 AM if you're doing Disney Springs. This is not a drill.
Book Oga's Cantina, Savi's Workshop, and Droid Depot in advance. If you're reading this the day of — check the app right now and look for cancellations.
Wear your Star Wars gear. You don't need to be in full cosplay, but showing up in your Rebel Alliance tee or your Mandalorian merch is half the fun of the day. The fan energy in Galaxy's Edge on May the 4th is something you have to experience.
Try the Pink Milk. It's brand new, it's only at Walt Disney World this year, and you'll want to say you had it on opening day.
Budget for food. The Star Wars snacks are an event in themselves and they are genuinely worth it. My strategy: grab a swizzle stick drink, share a few of the new desserts, get at least one full meal at Docking Bay 7, and save Oga's for a late-afternoon or evening reservation.
If you're doing Disney Springs only — head to Amorette's and The Ganachery first thing, then get in line for the virtual queue. Both spots can sell out of the exclusive items, so don't save them for the end of the day.
