Why Memory Maker Is Worth the Money (Yes, Really) 🤍

I'm doing a full talking-head video on this tomorrow, but I wanted to get the actual numbers down in writing first — because the numbers are what actually convince people, and I want you to have them before you watch.

Memory Maker runs $185 if you buy it in advance (at least 3 days out), $210 if you wait and buy it in the parks, or $75 for a single day if you're only in town a short time. It covers PhotoPass photographers stationed throughout all four parks, on-ride photos and videos (think Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Frozen Ever After, Tron), Magic Shots, character dining photos, and water park photos — and up to 25 people in your party can access every photo through the My Disney Experience app. Photos are downloadable for 45 days from when they're taken, so that clock starts mid-trip, not at checkout.

Here's the math that actually convinces people: individual PhotoPass photos run $17–19 each. For a family of four on a multi-day, multi-park trip, you cross that $185 mark after around 11 photos — and if you've ever tried to wrangle a family photo in front of the castle, you know you'll take way more than 11 shots without even trying.

For the vast majority of the families I plan for — multi-day trips, multiple parks, kids who are only this age once — Memory Maker is one of the first things I add to the itinerary, because it's the difference between "I think we have a picture of that" and actually having it.
