Skip Baggage Claim at Disney World: Airport Luggage Transfer Explained 🧳

If you traveled to Disney World before 2022, you might remember Magical Express, where Disney picked up your bags at the airport and delivered them to your hotel. When it ended, a lot of families (me included!) missed it.

Well, friends, a version of that magic is back. Disney World now has an Airport Luggage Transfer service through select airlines and Disney Resort hotels, and it keeps getting bigger.

What is Airport Luggage Transfer?

It's a complimentary service for guests staying at participating Disney Resort hotels. You check your bags with your airline like normal, then skip baggage claim at Orlando International Airport (MCO) and head straight to your hotel. Your luggage meets you there.

On the way home, you can drop your bags with your hotel, and they'll show up at baggage claim at your home airport. No hauling suitcases back to the airport and no waiting in the bag drop line.

The service is operated by BagCheck, a third-party luggage company working with Disney.

Which airlines participate?

As of September 2026, the participating airlines are:

  • ✈️ American Airlines

  • ✈️ JetBlue (the newest addition!)

  • ✈️ Southwest Airlines

  • ✈️ United Airlines

The service is for domestic flights only into and out of MCO.

Which Disney hotels are eligible?

Right now it's available at these Disney Resort hotels:

  • Disney's All-Star Movies Resort

  • Disney's All-Star Music Resort

  • Disney's All-Star Sports Resort

  • Disney's Art of Animation Resort

  • Disney's Pop Century Resort

  • Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (added in August 2026)

Disney has said it plans to add more hotels and airlines, so this list will likely keep growing. I'll keep you posted!

How it works

Before your trip

  • Register through BagCheck anywhere from 30 days to 24 hours before your flight. You'll need your Disney reservation number and your flight confirmation number.

  • If you register 7 or more days ahead, special luggage tags are mailed to you. Register later and you can still use the service, you just won't get the mailed tags.

Arrival day

  • Check your bags with your airline as usual (normal airline bag fees still apply).

  • Land at MCO, skip baggage claim, and head to your hotel.

  • Your bags arrive within about 4 hours of your flight landing. You can pick them up at Bell Services or have them delivered to your room.

That means you can go straight to the pool, grab lunch, or even hop over to a park while your luggage takes care of itself. ✨

Departure day

  • Check in for your flight online within 24 hours of departure and pay any bag fees.

  • Drop your bags at Bell Services between 24 and 4 hours before your flight (or request a room pickup). You'll need your ID and boarding pass.

  • At the airport, skip the bag drop and go straight to security. Your bags will be waiting at baggage claim at your home airport.

A few things to know

  • Domestic flights only. International flights aren't eligible.

  • Gate-checked items don't count. Strollers and car seats you check at the gate stay with you.

  • Keep the important stuff with you. Medications, electronics, and travel documents belong in your carry-on.

  • Pack a "first day" bag. Since your suitcase can take a few hours to arrive, keep swimsuits, sunscreen, a change of clothes, and anything the kids need in your carry-on.

  • Tipping. If you have bags delivered to your room, gratuity isn't included, so plan to tip Bell Services.

Why this matters for your family

Arrival day at Disney is exciting, but it can also be exhausting. Waiting at baggage claim with tired kids and then wrangling suitcases, strollers, and car seats is not the magical start anyone pictures.

Skipping that step gives you back time and energy on the very first day. And on your last day, you can enjoy the morning without dragging luggage around.

It's also a nice added perk for Disney's Value and (a) Moderate resorts, which makes these hotels an even better value for a lot of families.

Let me help you plan it

When I help plan your Disney trip, I look at everything that makes your travel day easier, including which hotel and airline combination can get you this perk. If Airport Luggage Transfer is a priority for your family, we can plan around it from the start.
