The Disney Believe Is HERE, and Friends, I Am Not Okay 🚒✨

Disney Cruise Line dropped all the details last week on its newest ship, the Disney Believe, and I've read every single announcement at least three times. This ship is a love letter to dreamers. Moana in the Grand Hall. An Encanto stage show you can't see anywhere else. A Frozen feast. Inside Out treats. Cocktails in glasses that change color.

And here's the part that matters most: booking opens to the general public one week from today, on Monday, October 19. Prices are already out, so let's get into all of it.

The Quick Facts

  • Maiden voyage: December 18, 2027 (a 5-night Bahamian cruise)

  • Home port: Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

  • Inaugural season: December 18, 2027 through May 6, 2028, 29 sailings in all

  • Ship class: The fourth and final Wish-class ship, joining the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny

  • The theme: Curiosity, discovery, and believing in yourself and your dreams (I mean... come on. It's like they made it for me.)

Where She's Sailing

The inaugural season is all 4- and 5-night cruises, which makes this ship perfect for first-time cruisers and families who want a shorter trip:

  • 5-night Western Caribbean (8 sailings): Cozumel, Mexico, and Disney Castaway Cay

  • 5-night Bahamian (10 sailings): Disney Castaway Cay, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, and Nassau

  • 4-night Bahamian (7 sailings): Nassau and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

  • A few special 4-night sailings that visit both of Disney's private islands, including a December 27–31, 2027 New Year's sailing

What It Costs Right Now

Here are the lowest starting prices released so far. These are per stateroom for two guests, with taxes, fees, and port expenses included:

Stateroom Starting Price
Inside $2,683
Oceanview $2,987
Verandah $3,315
Concierge $6,699

Those lowest fares are on the 4-night Bahamian sailing from January 20–24, 2028.

Dreaming of being on the very first sailing? The maiden voyage (December 18–23, 2027) starts at $6,444 for an Inside stateroom, $7,134 for a Verandah, and $17,074 for Concierge.

Here's the honest truth: Disney Cruise Line uses dynamic pricing, so these prices go up as sailings fill. Inaugural sailings, holiday dates, and Concierge rooms go fast. The price you see on October 19 may not be the price you see on October 26.

Booking Dates

Bookings open at 8:00 AM Eastern each day:

  • October 12: Pearl Castaway Club members (yes, today!)

  • October 13: Platinum Castaway Club members (plus Golden Oak residents and Club 33 members)

  • October 14: Gold Castaway Club members

  • October 15: Silver Castaway Club members, eligible Disney Vacation Club members, and Adventures by Disney Adventure Insiders

  • October 19: General public πŸŽ‰

So yes, the earliest Believe rooms are being booked today. By the time the general public gets in, the Castaway Club members have had a full week.

Let's Talk About This Ship 😍

The Grand Hall

You walk on board and Moana, Pua, and Hei Hei are there to welcome you, surrounded by sky, sea, and Pacific Island design. The chandelier is inspired by the movement of the ocean, and there's a hidden heart of Te Fiti tucked inside. (Lennon is going to spend the whole cruise trying to find it, and I'm here for it.)

On the outside, Tinker Bell and friends decorate the bow, and Woody and Buzz are on the stern with Toy Story-style lettering.

A Brand-New Frozen Restaurant

Oaken's Table: A Frozen Family Feast is a new rotational dining restaurant set in a Scandinavian summer courtyard, with Oaken's family, Anna, and Kristoff. Hoo hoo! I can’t wait! The ship also brings back two favorites: 1923 and Worlds of Marvel.

Shows You Can Only See Here

  • Disney Encanto is a brand-new, full stage production in the Walt Disney Theatre, only on the Believe. We don't talk about Bruno... but we will be talking about this show.

  • Tangled: The Musical returns with reimagined sets and special effects.

  • Disney Seas the Adventure returns too.

  • Gazelle, a Zootopia-inspired space, is a family entertainment hub by day and adults-only by night, and Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde star in a new interactive family show.

New Lounges (Hi, Mom πŸ₯‚)

  • Wishing Well: A Snow White-inspired lounge with castle courtyard and Seven Dwarfs' cottage vibes

  • Sea Notes: An iridescent piano lounge inspired by Ariel's grotto, with a pearlescent piano

  • Skygazers: An adults-only, observatory-themed pub with celestial maps, craft beer, cocktails, and light bites

  • Haunted Mansion Parlor is back, with new drinks

The Drinks and Treats 🧁🍸

This is where I really lost it.

Inside Out: Joyful Sweets is back, now with characters from Inside Out 2. A few highlights:

  • Joy Lemon Confetti Cupcake: Vanilla confetti cake, blue filling, lemon frosting, and a Joy lollipop

  • Anxiety Orange-Almond Cupcake: With espresso-chocolate frosting (Anxiety getting espresso is the most accurate thing Disney has ever done)

  • Envy Sour Apple Cupcake: With matcha frosting and lime curd filling

  • Anger Red Velvet Spiced Cupcake: With cinnamon frosting and fire sprinkles

  • Emotion popsicles, including an Embarrassment strawberry one, plus crisped rice treats and shimmery chocolate spheres

And the drinks:

  • Sea Salt Martini (Sea Notes): Mermaid Sea Salt Vodka, bergamot, and cucumber, topped with salted coconut foam and served in a seashell glass

  • Under the Seaweed (Sea Notes): The non-alcoholic version, with a tequila alternative, coconut water, and blue curaΓ§ao syrup, topped with nori

  • The Peddler's Disguise (Wishing Well): Green apple, elderflower, vanilla, and lime-yuzu soda, in a glass that changes color when it's filled (the poison apple nod, I love it)

  • Moonshine (Skygazers): Gin, sake, and aloe liqueur with a moon-scented bubble in a sparkly constellation glass, plus a non-alcoholic version called Starshine

The Staterooms

Rooms feature new artwork inspired by Moana, Coco, and Inside Out, and Concierge rooms have Peter Pan or Toy Story themes. You still get the family features that make Wish-class ships so great: lots of storage, raised beds, and split bathrooms. About 70% of rooms have verandahs, and there are more than 450 connecting doors for families traveling together.

For the big splurge: the Royal Reef Suite (The Little Mermaid), the Royal Rose Suite (Beauty and the Beast), and the two-story Believe Tower Suite inside the forward funnel. It sleeps eight and is inspired by Magic Kingdom. 🏰

Why I Think This Ship Is Going to Be Special

My whole brand is built on believing in the dream. That someday isn't a plan, today is. So a ship literally named Believe, built around dreams and possibility? That one gets me right in the heart. 🀍

And with short 4- and 5-night sailings out of Fort Lauderdale, this is a great "first Disney cruise" ship, too.

Want to Be On Board? Let's Get Ready Now

The general public window opens Monday, October 19 at 8:00 AM Eastern, and the most popular dates and rooms will move fast. If you want a spot on the Believe, now is the time to plan, not that morning.

Head to thatkatiefath.com/travel and fill out my inquiry form this week. We'll pick your sailing, your stateroom, and a backup plan, so when booking opens, we're ready to go.

xoxo,
Katie
