Talk to Me Thursday: Today Is the Last Day to Vote — And I Have Feelings

I'm going to be honest with you today, because it's Thursday and Thursdays are for being real.

Today is the last day of Round 1 voting for the Super Mom contest. And I have a lot of feelings about it.

What This Has Been Like

A little over a month ago, someone nominated me for this contest. I didn't ask. I didn't campaign for it. Someone in my life looked at what I was doing — the hustle, the juggling, the showing up every single day for Lennon and for my work and for this community — and said "her."

That stopped me in my tracks.

I share a lot. Travel tips, Disney deals, mom life moments, skincare finds. But talking about myself? Asking for something that's about me? That does not come naturally. At all.

I've been awkward about it, honestly. Every vote reminder I've posted has felt a little uncomfortable to send. And I think that's okay to admit.

Why I Kept Asking Anyway

Because it's not really about me.

Every paid vote goes directly to Children's Miracle Network — an organization that supports kids and families facing some of the scariest moments of their lives. So every time someone clicked that link, they weren't just casting a vote. They were doing something for a kid who needed it.

That's worth being a little uncomfortable for.

What Today Means

Round 1 closes tonight. We need to be in the top 20 to advance.
