Talk to Me Thursday: The Honest Truth About Doing It All (And What I've Had to Let Go Of)
Hey friend — pull up a chair, grab your coffee, and let's just talk for a minute.
Because if you're anything like me, life right now feels like a lot. A really beautiful, chaotic, wonderful, overwhelming a lot.
I'm a mom. I’m a wife. I work full time. I'm also a travel agent. I run a lifestyle brand. I'm an affiliate. I create content. I help manage a household. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I'm supposed to also be a whole, healthy, present human being.
Some days I absolutely nail it. Other days? I'm eating a cold dinner wondering how I forgot to switch the laundry again.
Here's what I've been learning though — doing it all doesn't mean doing it all perfectly. It means showing up. Consistently. Even when it's messy. Even when you didn't get it right yesterday. Even when you're building the plane while flying it.
I used to think that if I wasn't doing everything at 100%, I was failing. And let me tell you — that mindset was exhausting. What I've learned is that the seasons where I feel most behind are usually the seasons where I'm actually growing the most. You just can't see it yet from the inside.
One of the things I'll be honest about? My skincare side hustles have been one of the items I've let slide lately. Between everything on my plate, sharing my favorite products and helping my people get their refills or get started just hasn't gotten the attention it deserves. And I hate that — because I genuinely LOVE this stuff and I love helping you find what works for you.
So consider this me getting back to it. 😄
If you're a NuSkin girl who's due for a refill — especially with their Mother's Day sale running now through May 5th — I've got you. 👉 Shop here!
And if you've been curious about clean, European-grade beauty and want to get started fresh, Olive Tree People is where I send everyone who's ready to make the switch. 👉 Get started here!
So if you're in a season where you feel like you're spinning your wheels, like everyone else has it figured out and you're still working on it — I see you. I am you. And I promise, you are doing better than you think.
What I've had to let go of lately? The idea that rest is laziness. The comparison spiral. The guilt of choosing myself sometimes. And the pressure to do every part of my business perfectly all at once.
What I've held onto? My why. My people. My faith that the work I'm doing right now is building something really good.
I share this stuff because I want this space to feel real. Not highlight reel, not perfect, just real. The hustle is part of my story — but so is the hard. And I think we're all better when we talk about both.
So tell me — what's something you've had to let go of lately to keep moving forward? Drop it in the comments. Let's talk about it. 💛
xoxo,
Katie
