đź’¬ Talk To Me Thursday: Finding My Way Back to Me

The past few weeks have been… a lot.

If you know my day job, you know this is my busiest season of the year.
Final planning.
Long days.
Big responsibility.

And this year we added a little extra sparkle called an ice storm and snow storm just to keep things interesting ❄️🤪

For three straight weeks it felt like go-go-go, pivot, problem-solve, repeat.

By the time I lifted my head up, I was running on fumes.

When Busy Starts to Cost You

Even when everything you’re doing is good and important, it can still take a toll.

Not being fully present at home created big feelings — for everyone.

More tears.
More short patience.
More “why aren’t you listening to me?” moments.

And if you’re a mom, you already know what sneaks in right after that.

✨ guilt ✨

The Physical Side of Stress

My body always tells on me.

When stress goes up, my migraines usually follow — and yep, they showed up right on schedule.

Which is frustrating… but also a reminder.

I can’t keep pouring from an empty cup.

A Week to Reset (Kind Of)

I’m incredibly grateful to have this week off from my day job to recover and regroup.

But if you’re wired like me, you know resting doesn’t always mean stopping.

I’ve been shifting energy into my travel business, reorganizing plans, dreaming about growth, and trying to use this window wisely.

Good things.

Exciting things.

But still energy.

Why Unplugging Matters Most After the Hard Seasons

Here’s the lesson I keep relearning:

The moments when we feel the most behind, most overwhelmed, most stretched… are usually the moments we need connection and care the most.

Not perfection.
Not productivity.

Presence.

So Tonight I’m starting Something That Terrifies Me (in a good way)

I’m taking a ballet class. This is a six week class.

I haven’t done that in over 20 years 🩰

I am excited.
I am nervous.
I will probably discover muscles I forgot existed.

But I am doing something that is just for me.

Not for work.
Not for mom duties.
Not for anyone else’s expectations.

And that feels really big.

The Real Real

Life hasn’t been sunshine and rainbows lately.

We’re human.
We’re tired.
We’re figuring it out.

But I’m proud of us for coming back together, talking through the feelings, and choosing to reconnect instead of retreat.

That matters.

Talk To Me 🤍

Have you ever come out of a busy season and realized you lost yourself a little?

What helps you come back?

I’d truly love to hear 👇
