Everything You Need to Know About Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios

It's Toy Story 5 week and I am not calm about it. 🤠

In honor of what is honestly one of the most anticipated movie releases of my lifetime — okay that might be dramatic but also is it? — I am dedicating this week's Monday post to one of my favorite places: Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

If you have never been, friend, we need to fix that immediately. And if you have been? You already know exactly why I am writing this with a giant smile on my face.

Let's talk about Andy's backyard. 🧸✨

What Is Toy Story Land?

Toy Story Land opened on June 30, 2018, and the whole concept is pure magic — the moment you walk in, you shrink down to the size of one of Andy's toys and find yourself right in the middle of his backyard. Everything around you is oversized. The Tinkertoys, the Jenga blocks, the game pieces — all of it is giant, and YOU are the toy. The immersive theming is next level and honestly you could spend time just walking around looking at the details before you even get on a single ride.

The land covers 11 acres and was the first new land at Hollywood Studios in more than 20 years. It shows. Every inch of it was built with intention and love for the franchise, and it absolutely delivers.

The Rides

Slinky Dog Dash 🐾

This is the headliner and for good reason. Slinky Dog Dash is one of the most popular rides at all of Walt Disney World — you ride aboard Slinky Dog as he stretches and coils around Andy's backyard, weaving past giant Tinkertoys, Jenga blocks, and Rex toys. The ride features two launches, sweeping turns, and a series of hills that deliver genuine airtime.

It is a family coaster — no inversions, no sudden drops, no darkness — but do not let that fool you. It reaches speeds of up to 40 mph and that mid-ride slingshot launch will catch you off guard every single time. It is absolutely one of mine and Lennon’s favorites in all of Walt Disney World and I will not hear otherwise.

Pro tip: Slinky Dog Dash consistently posts wait times of 60–100+ minutes and is a Lightning Lane Multi Pass Tier 1 attraction. Grab Lightning Lane or get there at rope drop — this one is worth the strategy.

Toy Story Mania! 🎯

Toy Story Mania! is a 4D interactive ride that takes guests through the world of the Toy Story franchise in a fast-paced game format where you compete for points across a series of carnival-style games. It has no height requirement, it is endlessly replayable, and it is just as fun on your tenth ride as your first.

This is the ride where families get competitive. You have been warned. 😂

Alien Swirling Saucers 👽

Alien Swirling Saucers is a gentle spinner best for young kids — think the classic teacups but make it Toy Story. The little green aliens are absolutely adorable and this ride is a perfect fit for your littlest family members.

The Food — Because We Need to Talk About Totchos

Woody's Lunch Box 🥪

Woody's Lunch Box recreates Andy's classic lunch box, and everything — from the tables to the details — makes you feel part of that playground full of giant toys.

And the totchos. OH, the totchos. Tater tots loaded with toppings and they are absolutely everything. Woody's Lunch Box is famous for its totchos and grilled cheese and both are on my permanent must-order list every single time I visit. And if you are looking for the perfect refreshing adult beverage — don’t skip out on the Adult Lemonade! It is quick service so you are in and out without losing much park time — exactly how I like it. Or save even more time and put in a mobile order! That’s one of our favorite hacks.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ 🤠

If you want to slow down and sit for a full meal, Roundup Rodeo BBQ is the land's table service restaurant and one of the best dining options at Hollywood Studios, with a fun Toy Story theme and family-style platters. It is fully immersive inside and the theming is absolutely adorable. Make a reservation before your trip — this one fills up fast.

New in 2026: The Snack Stand 🍿

A popcorn and snack stand opened in early 2026 near the Toy Story Land entrance, serving items like Pizza Planet-style spring rolls, along with popcorn, drinks, and even alcoholic beverages. I am intrigued by those Pizza Planet spring rolls and they are absolutely going on my list for my next visit.

Do Not Miss: The Green Army Men Drum Corps 🥁

This is one of those only-at-Disney moments that will stop you in your tracks. The Green Army Men Drum Corps performs throughout the day in Toy Story Land, marching through Andy's backyard with their drums and their perfectly in-character movements. They do not break character, they are incredibly entertaining, and watching them with kids is pure magic.

Check the My Disney Experience app for their performance schedule and plan your visit around catching at least one show. You will not regret it.

Tips for Making the Most of Toy Story Land

Arrive at rope drop. Using Early Entry, you can ride all three attractions in under an hour. That is the dream scenario and it is absolutely achievable if you get there early.

Grab Lightning Lane for Slinky Dog Dash. The wait times are no joke. Use your Lightning Lane Multi Pass on this one first thing and thank yourself later.

Plan 1.5–2.5 hours minimum. Plan 1.5–2.5 hours to ride all three rides, eat at Woody's Lunch Box, and meet characters. Do not rush this land — it deserves your full attention.

Stay for the evening. Toy Story Land at night hits differently. The lights come on, the crowds thin out a little, and there is something so cozy and magical about Andy's backyard after dark. We love to hit it both morning & evening to experience it all!

This Week Feels Extra Special

I will be completely honest with you. Writing this post on Toy Story 5 week, knowing I am taking Lennon to see it this weekend, has me feeling all the feelings. Toy Story Land is going to hit completely different the next time we walk through that entrance and I cannot wait.

If this post has you itching to plan a Hollywood Studios trip — good. That is exactly what I am here for. 🤠
