The Disney Wish Is Heading to New York City

This is the headline everyone's talking about — Disney Cruise Line is returning to New York City for the first time since 2023, and the Disney Wish is the ship getting the honor. Picture this: waving goodbye to the city skyline and sailing off to the pink sand beaches of Bermuda on a handful of special 4- to 7-night voyages.

And for my fall-lovers out there, the Wish will also sail from New York up to New England and Canada's Atlantic coast — Boston, Saint John, Halifax — for the first time in almost four years. Just imagine those iconic red funnels against a backdrop of peak fall foliage. I'm not crying, you're crying.

More San Juan Sailings

Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy are both adding more departures from San Juan, Puerto Rico, opening up a bunch of new 5- to 7-night Southern and Eastern Caribbean itineraries with stops like Aruba, St. Maarten, Bonaire, and Dominica. A Big First for Disney Destiny

Starting Fall 2027, the Disney Destiny will officially homeport at Port Canaveral for the first time — joining the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure there. That means three Wish-class ships based out of Port Canaveral at once, with the Destiny offering 3- to 7-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean sailings (plus a heroes-and-villains theme running through the whole ship, which honestly sounds so fun).

Panama Canal Maiden Calls

For my adventurous families, Disney Cruise Line is offering two 14-night Panama Canal crossings — and for the first time ever, guests will get to stop in Fuerte Amador (Panama City) and Colón, Panama.
